The Board of Directors at Colorado Springs Christian Schools recently completed their annual Leadership Retreat. This year, we were privileged to have Mr. Bill Anderson as our facilitator. It is the goal of the CSCS Board to enlist a dynamic speaker to lead in reaffirming the governance model of leadership. Bill was a perfect fit for this endeavor as he is one of the most qualified leaders that I know. His ability to facilitate and take on the most crucial issues is a gift, coupled with his ability to use humor to make a point. He also has an amazing talent to apply teaching principles with real life stories!
One of the most refreshing aspects of Bill’s leadership development skills is the fact that he is not just another consultant, but rather a leader who has extensive experience in both Board service and CEO level leadership. This comes through in his instruction, and obtained from his vast repertoire of experience he is able to steer board members and executive leaders through minefields that could threaten to sabotage or destroy their leadership.
Bill also knows the difference between effective leadership and efficient management. He is able to take leaders in their current position of leadership ability and mentor them in discovering what it will take to arrive at the leadership destination they hope to achieve. In today’s world where superstar mentality and big egos rule the day, it is refreshing to find such an accomplished leader as Bill Anderson who demonstrates humility while demonstrating a wealth of knowledge.
I would heartily endorse and recommend Bill Anderson to any organization that has the desire to achieve excellence and take their leadership to a new higher level.
